So I got a few questions for designer/ stylist/ consultant DanStyles:
1. So how long have you been a designer and what inspired your career path?
"Growing up I’ve always took interest to fashion, especially living in Brooklyn NY. I used go to school most days just to show off my outfit, going to school was like a fashion show. I used to also see my older brother Tye pull up everyday, with the latest IceBerg outfit (Do your research if you’re not hip). I've always enjoyed getting fly and standing out from everyone. I decided to make a career out of it when I chose fashion as my major at NCCU, where I received my bachelors degree in Textiles & Apparel in 2012. I debuted “DanStyles” the following year."
2. Who are some major influencers of yours when it comes to your style of dressing/ designing?
When it comes to “Major” influencers I would say Kanye, Rocky, Virgil, and I can’t leave out Pharrell, just to name a few. Pharrell probably had the biggest impact on me, especially during high school. It was Ice Cream and Bape every day. As far as designing influences, I would have to say Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren has the timeless and consistent aspects that I want DanStyles to have.

3. How would you describe your style?
"I have multiple styles, you can throw me in any atmosphere and I’ll give you a quality outfit. If I had to classify it, you could say “high fashion-street cozy” lol. Nowadays I try to do the least as possible, while still having a big impact."
4. Now I know you've been putting work in for some time now, who are some major people that you've worked with along the way?
"On a major scale, I’ve actually already done business with: Kaylin Garcia, FatBoy SSE, Jerrika Karlae, Jose Guapo, Young Thug, and Dave East. I also have other celebrities in my corner that are in tune with the brand that support me such as Jim Jones, Casanova, Lance Stephenson, Odell Beckham jr & can’t forget DJ Khaled!"
5. What would you say is your biggest look to date?
"The biggest look for me thus far would have to be my slime Young Thug. He wore one of my hoodies while performing in front of thousands of people. That’s one of my favorite artist so that was big for me. Most recently, I was featured in a NY based magazine “Fashion Gxd” that was in Barnes & Nobles. That’s a blessing!"
6. What are some of your favorite brands?
"I’ll be here all day, so I’ll just keep it short with Ralph Lauren, Gucci (they went brazy this year) and definitely DanStyles, on my bias shit!"
7. If you had to wear only one brand from here on out, what would it be and why?
"It would have to be DanStyles, seeing as though I'd have the ability to tailor the brand to my liking."
8. Whats one of the craziest purchases you've made here recently?

"My most recent “crazy” purchase would probably have to be the Balenciaga hat you see pictured. That was a smooth $350 (save your bread I just needed a hat).
9. Is there any advice that you'd give anyone interested in pursuing a career in fashion?
"First, I would say make sure you have a passion for whatever field you decide to jump in. You see a lot of brands begin with the intent to make some quick change, and that eventually shows. Stick to your vision, don’t let trends or someone else’s success have an impact on your decision making. Also, you have to actually put in the ground work. It’s deeper than putting “designer”, or any other title, in your bio. Your dreams don’t work unless you do!"
10. What do we need to be on the lookout for with DanStyles in the future?
"Short term, I have an A/W release on the way. In addition to releasing more fire clothing, styling people and consulting for other brands, I plan on adding new segments to DanStyles that you’ll soon come to enjoy. There are also more celebrities that I’m working with, which will later be revealed."

Here, Im rocking my white short sleeve j. crew cotton button down with a pair oaf skinny fitting gap jeans (no belt). I brought out my fathers brown Shipton and Heneage boots with a polished gold buckle detail to finish my outfit.

Dan decided to rock out with the white Phillip Lim no show button down shirt complementing an off white Christian Louboutin sneaker. The outfit was then accompanied by a black Balenciaga cap and the same color Fred Perry all purpose bag. As you can see, he is also wearing a black Y-3 belt to hold up a pair of light blue UNIQLO denim jeans.
