I like to hat and scarf it out!

A few years back I stopped purchasing so many trendy pieces of clothing and started focusing my energy more on "pieces". Pieces are more so timeless items that will hold their weight in your closet throughout your ever evolving and changing sense of fashion, staples if you will.

Okay, lets get right into some patterns momentarily, along with color coordination and of course, subtly. The multicolored scarf and hat pictured above came as a set from j. crew and although they have a variety of patterns and colors, they still are subtle enough that they do not distract you from the iridescent Nike Air Max TN Plus. Well, honestly depending on how the light touches them, nothing really can steal the shine from these shoes.

This particular pant sock combo comes courtesy of j. crew. The light blue picks up the blue from the shoes, while the red polka dots further blend the jacket with the entirety of the outfit.
As for the pants, well as I stated previously, unmatched from fit to quality. Last but not least, we'll talk about my plaid shirt, which is what really ties everything together. The overlapping blues create enough shades that they instantly coincide with the the present blues. The light tan color makes the outfit less "matchy" while the subtle pop of red reiterates the importance of both the socks and jacket.
