Got the chance to sit down with rap artist, Tim Stacks this weekend and discuss a few things about his upcoming project, accomplishments, new ventures and of course, fashion.
When did you first decide to start a rap career?
"Well I first started in 2011, just messing around putting words together but around 2014 I really decided that I was all in"
I know you've been putting in work for a few years now, what are some of your accomplishments thus far?
"Ive done shows opening up for Joey Fatts, Key, Raekwon and A Boogie. I just recently released a single off of my latest EP called Still Here"
Speaking of EP? When is this new one of yours dropping?
"There isn't a set release date yet, but the tape is finished, just wait on it"
Haha I can dig it, well we'll be anticipating it. So I know you're in the studio and doing shows and well, living life in general so I have to ask, what are some of your fashion preferences, from brands to trends when moving around, and what are you rocking today?

"I like mad different stuff, from Jordans and Nike to Saint Laurent and Bally. Ralph Lauren and Bape to Kenzo, but really I like to switch it up, like today Im rocking a comme des garçon tee in black with a pair of black faded G-star jeans and my Royal Jordan 1's. As far as trends, Im all about sweats, tracksuits, comfortable stuff to move around in so I'm glad thats a trend now."
Agreed on the sweats, thats one of my favorite trends too, Im glad they've made them to be dressed up and down now.
What would you say influences your particular style of dressing?
"First off, quality weighs the heaviest when I determine what pieces I'm purchasing. If the quality isn't exceptional Im not even interested."

Likewise, quality definitely screams volumes, especially when talking about clothing. I don't mind spending more on an item of clothing for the certainty of the fit, feel, and thought put into it.
For example, here, I'm wearing a pair of light blue Gap jeans (probably my favorite fitting jeans). Gap isn't the most expensive brand of pants by a long shot but there are definitely many cheaper alternatives. My two-tone shirt comes from Forever 21 men, and my jacket is by Burberry. The gym red Jordan 11s are what I laced up to finish off my outfit.
In closing, Stacks and I agree that quality trumps quantity in both the fashion and music world.
